Bobby Wayne Bush, Sr., born on February 21, 1942, in Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on July 9, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, supportive brother, and steadfast friend.
Bobby’s life was one of adventure, love, and deep connection to those around him. He was the treasured husband of Ruby Bush, with whom he shared over 40 years of partnership and happiness. Bobby’s legacy continues through his children: his sons Bobby Bush, Jr. and David Bush, and his daughters Sheryl Miller, Virginia Bush, and Loretta Bush. He was a guiding presence to his step-son Walter Ingram and step-daughters Patricia Martin and Debbie White. He was also survived by his brother Curtis Bush, Jr. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his memory and the lessons he imparted.
Bobby’s passions were as diverse as they were joyful. He found peace and excitement in the great outdoors, indulging in camping, fishing, and traveling. The thrill of motorcycle riding brought him many hours of contentment, experiencing the world from the open road. A talented musician, Bobby’s gift for music brought joy not only to himself but to everyone fortunate enough to hear him play. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, making memories that will live on in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Bush, Sr.; his mother Virginia; his brother Harry Bush; and his sister Shirley Miller.
Friends and family are invited to share in remembering Bobby Wayne Bush, Sr. at a visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, 777 S 16th St, Jay, OK 74346. A graveside service will follow at New Eucha Cemetery beginning at 11:30 a.m.
