Dennis Eugene Armstrong started his journey home to his Creator on April 2nd, 2026 peacefully at his home with his dearest loved ones by his side. Dennis was born August 31st 1959 is Seneca Missouri to Kenneth and Margaret (Smithey) Armstrong. They soon moved to Gibsonville, North Carolina were he spent most of his childhood. He moved to Oklahoma in 1968, and would soon meet the love of his life. During their time apart, their lives continued to grow in meaningful ways. They later reunited, blending the children who would later be embraced into one loving family.
Dennis married the love of his life, Sharon Miller on May 12, 2001. They shared a love that endured life’s seasons. Consistent, forgiving and rooted in a deep understanding of one another. Through time, distance, and life’s changes, their bond remained constant, growing stronger with each passing year. Up until his final days, Sharon remained strong and supportive, showering him with the love they had built within their lives together. In true definition of “Till death do us part”.
As the years went on, Dennis continued to build his family with the love and knowledge that he knew best. He believed in raising a strong capable family. He was kind hearted, but strong willed man who wanted to make sure his children knew how to be independent. He was known for his vibrant spirit and joy he brought into every room. He loved music, dancing, rarely missing a chance to move to a good song, teach everyone the art of two stepping, and bringing the joy of music to all those around him.
He was a devoted fan of Oklahoma Sooners football, and could often be found cheering them on with enthusiasm and loyalty. Often giving the family who supported the opposite team a hard time, even if his team lost. His family will always remember the excitement and energy he brought to the game days.
He also had a way of keeping all things in order. Those who knew and loved him knew his “micromanaging” came from a place of care, attention and desire to make things just right. Although it drove the family crazy sometimes, they knew it came from a place of care and was one of the many ways he showed his love.
He will be deeply missed.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (Miller) Armstrong, his children: Denny Armstrong and his wife Annie; Heather Conduff; Haley Conduff and her partner Remington White; Kenneth Armstrong; and Kyle Armstrong, his God-Son Wesley Miller. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren Hallen, Creden, Elly, Daizy, Shawna, Brendan, Anthony, Kobe, Kiara, Kai, Rhett, Jack, and Myles, each carrying forward Dennis’s spirit of joy and togetherness.
He is also survived by his siblings Roger Armstrong, Brenda Hilburn and her husband John, and Bill Armstrong, who together with Dennis’s family, have been a source of strength and comfort.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Armstrong and Margaret (Smithey) Armstrong, as well as his brother Larry Armstrong and sister Linda Armstrong.
