Donald Lloyd Birdsong Jr, (DJ) age 47 of Jay, passed away on August 12, 2026. He was born December 15, 1978 to Donald Birdsong Sr. And Betty Birdsong Gray.

He was a beloved son, brother, and fiercely loyal friend who brought light and laughter to everyone who knew him. DJ had the best smile and a rare gift for making people laugh, listening without judgment, showing up when it mattered most, and telling the best stories. His laugh was loud and recognizable, and his presence could instantly change the energy of a room. He faced life's hurdles with courage, stubbornness, and grace. His kind heart always made sure the people he loved knew they mattered.

DJ grew up surrounded by a large, loving family. He was raised by his devoted mother, Betty Gray , and husband Lee Gray
Growing up in a busy household, he shared an unbreakable bond with his bonus dad Henry Tagg, Jr and siblings: four sisters, Kristi Birdsong Blansett and husband Davey , Misty Howard and husband Travis , Tammy Crady, and fiancée Harry Streich and Chloe Lyman. three brothers, Jason Gray and wife Shakeisha Gray, Elijah Tagg and Lance stick. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, as well as a large community of extended family and lifelong friends including adopted Grandfather Nunley all who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by; Father Donald Lloyd Birdsong, Sr. Of Wyandotte ok, Brother Timothy Birdsong of Kansas City, Grand parents Mary and Richard Snell of Jay ok, Jackie and Floyd Birdsong of Wyandotte ok. He is also preceded in death by other family and friends.

Donald will have a visitation on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
