Florence Blackfox

Luginbuel Funeral Home (918) 256-5555.....Florence Orvallene “Rogers” Blackfox passed away July 05, 2019 in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Orville Lee Rogers and Helen (Cagle) Rogers. Florence was born November 24, 1944 in Strang, Oklahoma. Florence was the salutatorian of Strang High School class of 1962. During her school years she enjoyed playing basketball. She married Ernest Blackfox in November of 1965. Florence was a homemaker who enjoyed fishing, horseshoes and playing basketball. She always cherished spending time with her family with good cooking and embracing their Cherokee ways.

Florence was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, two children Timothy and Kelly Blackfox and sister Carolyn Sue Foshee.

Survivors include one daughter Rebecca Irene Blackfox of Strang, Oklahoma; two grandchildren Chrystal Dameron of Jay, Oklahoma, Philip Carruba of Strang, Oklahoma; Five great-grandchildren Caleb, Conner, Sylvia, Christopher, Alivia Carruba all of Strang, Ok.; two sisters Lunetta Lacy of Paris, Arkansas, Martha Leann Bunn of Cookson, Oklahoma and a brother Stephen Ray Rogers of Strang, Oklahoma.

A family visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, July 12, 2019 at Ribbon Baptist Church Spavinaw at 11:00 am with Pastor Junior Loftis officiating. Interment will follow at Ribbon Cemetery.
