BENJAMIN FUNERAL SERVICE NOWATA, OKLAHOMA 74048 918-273-2700..............

Helen Lucille (Nicholson) Lumm was born in Talala, Oklahoma on her Father's Cherokee allotment on Jan 7, 1923 to Sim Nicholson and Neoma (Reed) Nicholson and left her earthly home and crossed over to her heavenly home on November 14, 2018.

Lucille grew up in the Talala and Nowata area where she attended school. She married John Thomason in Nowata, Oklahoma. She then married Brownie Lumm in Nowata, Oklahoma. She worked for McDonald Douglas during WWII and then employed by Whitford Merchantile, and Allen Farm & Ranch Supply. She also was an Avon Sales Rep. for over twenty-five years where she won many awards presented by Avon for sales and several Albie Awards.

Lucille was a wonderful wife and homemaker, but first and foremost was her strong faith in God. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, listening to gospel music, watching her Christian programs, going to church, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her earlier years she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening and canning. Everyone that knew her loved her because she was a positive influence in their life. She never met a stranger and everyone that ever entered her home was made to feel like family. She is and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lucille is survived by her two children; Kenny Thomason and Carolyn of Inola, Oklahoma, Phyllis (Thomason) Lay and husband Dick of Ochelata, Oklahoma; two siblings; Wayne Nicholson and wife Violet of Nowata, Oklahoma, Mary Warren and husband Paul of La Center, Washington; one Grandchild; Nick Lay and wife Lee Ann of Ochelata, Oklahoma; one great grandchild; Cody Lay, her nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sim Nicholson and Neoma (Reed) Nicholson; two spouses John Thomason and Brownie Lumm; four brothers Albert, Howard, Salul, Billy Ray, an infant brother Nicholson and three sisters Ruby Pahl, Eula Coker and Wilma Allen.
