John Henry Scott Jr. was a man of love and devotion, has passed away on September 12, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. He was born on October 26, 1949, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to John Sr, and Dee Scott. John touched the lives of many with his kind heart and unwavering support for his loved ones.
John was a pillar of strength for his family, always putting their needs above his own. His role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He took great pride in being the best Papa anyone could ask for and delighted in supporting his grandbabies in their adventures. Whether it was attending their sporting events or cheering them on at school performances, John's unwavering presence had a lasting impact on the lives of his beloved family. Outside of family life, John had a passion for farming and embraced the serene beauty of rural living. As a dedicated farmer who would only use International Tractors as they were the best, he tended to his land with love and care. From sunrise to sunset, John was often found working tirelessly. His commitment to farming was truly admirable and earned him the respect of those who knew him. In addition, he was always interested in trying to find more information about Big Foot to help prove his existence to the world.
As we mourn the loss of John Henry Scott, let us also celebrate the incredible impact he had on our lives. His selflessness and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. May his spirit of dedication and compassion inspire each of us to cherish our loved ones and embrace every moment with them.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years June Scott, son Charles Albert Scott, parents John and Dee Scott, sister Linda Henson, and in-laws Otis and Velda Mulkey.
John is survived by children John Scott III, Aaron Wood, and his wife Regena, JR Wood, Pamela Clayton, and her husband Mike, and Roberta Wood. Sister Sherry and husband William Johnson, Toni, and husband Benny Paul. Brother-in-law Randy Henson, husband of Linda. Grandchildren Charlie-Ann and husband Able, Johni, Mika, Kannon, Kash, Cade, Shauntae, Amanda, Timothy, Kylan, Rodnee, Sheyanne and husband Hayden, Jessica and husband Matthew, James, and wife Alyssa, Aaron and wife Elizabeth, Victoria, Amber, Matthew, Austin. Great Grandchildren Richard, Kainen, Josey, Kutter, Ruger, Paisley, Rossi, Brody, Blakley-Aaron, Joseph, Annika, Adilynn, Greyson, Madoxx, Finley, and lots of bonus kids, and grandkids.
A visitation is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2023, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home located at 777 S 16th St in Jay, Oklahoma. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., it will be a time for the community to come together and reminisce about the cherished memories created with John. A funeral service will be held on September 19, 2023, and held at Topsy Assembly of God Church in Eucha, Oklahoma at 1:00 PM.
