Lee Jean Beauchamp, peacefully departed this life on July 11, 2025, at her home in Jay, Oklahoma. Born on February 15, 1932, in Spavinaw, Oklahoma, she lived a life characterized by selflessness and devotion to others.
Jean worked as a legal secretary for numerous years. Outside of her professional life, she was known for her nurturing personality; she took care of everyone in her family and was always thoughtful in her interactions with others. Her hobbies included antiquing, shopping, reading, and cultivating a beautiful flower garden, where she found joy and solace. Most importantly, Jean treasured spending time with her family, creating lasting memories that are now cherished by those she leaves behind.
A committed member of the Jay First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star, Jean's life and was a source of strength and community connection. She loved the Jay community and even served as Mayor in the 1980s.
Jean is survived by her loving grandson Jaren Sanders and his wife SaVannah, her dear sisters Annabelle Tuder and Geraldine Anderson, and her daughter-in-law Rena Sanders. Additionally, she will be remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Sanders; her second husband, Dennis Beauchamp; her son, Michael Sanders; her brothers, Gerald Goins, Gary Goins, Tommy Goins, and Wesley Goins; and her sisters, Judy Wingard, Bette Potter, Maxine Beck, and Dona Mae Fryer. They, along with many others, have gone before her and welcomed her into their embrace.
Visitation will be from 5-7p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025, also at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Chapel in Jay. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
