Mary Vivian (Crossland) Warma left her loving family and friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 to be with loved ones that had gone before her. During her 72 years with us, Mary was a happy, fun-loving wife, mother, and friend. Her passing will leave a void in countless lives, but her memory will live on in all who met her.
Mary was born in Miami, Oklahoma on October 3, 1947 to parents Nelda Margaret (Williams) Crossland and John Henry Crossland. Her childhood was spent in Hickory Grove where she supported her family's Crossland's General Store, which was located at the site of the existing Tom Cat Corner store. Mary attended Hickory Grove schools, Grove High School, and NEO A&M, earning an Associate’s Degree in Home Economics. While attending college, she met and later married Michael E. Warma.
Mary and Mike eventually settled in Yukon, Oklahoma to raise a family. Mary was a great mother, wife, and friend who always had smile on her face and generosity in her heart. She enjoyed raising her boys (community raising her boys' cousins and friends), time spent with grandchildren, taking long vacations in her RV, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Mary is survived by her two sons: James E. H. Warma, his wife Lori, and their children: Breanna, Jacob, and Gracie; Michael D. Warma, his wife Tricia, and their children: Chris, Rachel, Bailey, Emily and Jillian; her sister Virginia Bullard; Mary is also survived by numerous extended family members and life-long friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael E. Warma.
The family is planning a viewing on Wednesday April 22, 2020, from 3 to 5 pm at the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel in Grove. Due to the corona virus there is a limit of (8) eight friends at a time in the building. Worley’s staff will be at the door to help keep this limit. Please stay in your car until the staff tells you there is room in the building. Also, social distancing will be appreciated. There is a private family burial at a later date. The family has plans for a Celebration of Life service after the Restrictions of Gatherings are lifted. In keeping with the restrictions the family suggests donations to the Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grove, PO Box 451205, Grove, OK 74345. Anyone wanting to leave their social media contact information: email address, facebook, webb page etc, the family would love to hear from and communicate with you.
