Rickey Eugene Overton

Rickey Eugene Overton, 60-year-old resident of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on July 4, 2023.

Rickey was born on Christmas Eve 1962 in Lexington, Missouri.  He was the son of Eugene Howard and Ina Mae (Bowen) Overton.  Rickey proudly served in the Army from 1980-1982.  He enjoyed hunting coyotes, hogs, and deer.  He loved being outdoors, taking trips in his jeep, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his dogs; they were his babies.

Rickey was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.  He is survived by his wife Julie (Devine) Overton, his sons; CJ Williams (Carie) and Teddie Warner, his brothers Randy Overton (Nancy) and Brian Horseman (Kathy), five grandchildren: Hadlie Boyles, Gage Pierce, Gabriella Miller, Hope Smiley, and Ethan Smiley.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2023, at Grove Christian Center.  Military honors will be provided by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team. Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
