On any given day you can turn on the news and hear of bad things happening somewhere in the world. With all this bad, we sometimes overlook the good. We are so blessed to live in an area with so many good and wonderful people who selflessly serve others.

This is the drive behind our Hometown Heroes series. As a community, let us recognize those young and old who put the heart in heartland. Let us take the opportunity to get to know more about each other. Maybe it's the child who hosts a lemonade stand to help those affected by disaster, the volunteer you can always depend on, the veteran across the street - the possibilities are endless. 

We want to hear from you! Our goal is to recognize and honor a member of our community each month. We'll share their story on our Facebook page, host a small recognition ceremony and give them a token of our appreciation for the actions and/or services.
